The Rev. Ekpenyong Bassey Nya, Ph.D, is from Ikot Adakpan, Okuiboku in Itu local government area of Akwa Ibom State, South-south zone of Nigeria, West Africa. Born on May 7, 1964 as a creative problem-solver with a love for preaching the gospel of Christ, reading, teaching of God’s word, engaging in research, scholarly activities, and writing. Currently the Registrar of this prestigious institution, Assemblies of God Divinity School of Nigeria, Old Umuahia, Abia State.

He is specialized in Comparative Religion after bagging a doctorate in 2024 at the prestigious Imo State University, Owerri, Imo State Nigeria; Masters in 2017 in Missions & Intercultural Studies in AGDSN, and a degree in the same field in 1997 here in AGDSN.

As an administrative officer of this great institution, responsible for managing student records, admissions, registration, publication of exam results, matriculation, graduation processes and issuance of certificates and transcripts. His duties are to ensure proper documentation, compliance with policies, and smooth communication between students, staff, and external bodies. Basically, it keeps the academic machinery running.

With over six years of experience as the Registrar of AGDSN including 39 years of preaching the gospel of Christ Jesus and leading many to his kingdom, he served as the district secretary for more than nine years, and brought passion, innovation, and dedication to every project he worked on.
